Hubby admitted to hospital
After i left the blog the other day with the subject on Hubby Down with Fever, to take his temperature, it was just as i have suspected. The temperature never did subside. We then decided to make a trip down to the nearest hospital. That is New Changi Hospital. On the ride down to the hospital, i could not stop crying and worrying. I felt so terrified and kept praying that there was nothing more to it than just plain high fever.
When we reached the hospital, my eyes was all puffy and red from the crying. His temperature was taken again and it was at 39 degrees. We waited for almost an hour before finally getting to see the doctor. Somehow, i was not pleased at the waiting time when the hospital was not even bursting with crowds. The very reason that contributed onto my hatred to go to a goverment hospital and all in favors for raffles hospital instead. My hubby just refused to go there. He said the private hospital are not for him but would insist if it were my son or me. How unfair can he be? No point persuading him though. It will only be a waste of time arguing and add on to his pain, so i just left it as it is and agreed to go for CGH instead.
After the doctor examined him and suspected him with dengue fever, few tests was taken. While waiting for the results, he was to be admitted to the hospital. I was so upset upon hearing this. He was under serious condition yet i took no notice of it. Feeding him med, sponging him instead of dragging his feet down to the hospital earlier. I blamed myself for the lack of passion. My hubby just took my hands and shook his head in disapproval. He complimented on my concerns and caring for him. He even said i did a great job looking after him. I totally disapproved of it and kept blaming myself. We took on B1 ward, as again my hubby refused to pay the $1100 deposit for an A1 ward but agreed to pay $400 for a B1. It was only after 40 mins later, he was wheeled down to his bed. I stayed by his side all day. No shower for me for the whole day...yikes...it's ok as long as i get to be with my honey. The test results came in the afternoon, it was only high fever and not dengue fever. I was more relieved after the results was out. Still, more test was needed to be done. X'rays taken. The doctor wanted a greater confirmation on his condition. His temperature have dropped to 38.6 and the nurses are keeping a close watch on it. He was given ice packs to put on his forehead and antibiotics, I contacted his colleagues and friends to pass them the news on his admission.
In the early afternoon, his friends came down to pay him a visit. This include my honey's superior and his wife. He even had a friend visiting him at 10pm, way after the visitin hours. I was truly touched by their presence. I left the hospital to head on home at almost midnight. By the time i got on the cab, i could feel my body seriously worn out. I have burned the candles at both end. This was nothing campared to my hubby who is now in the hospital. I missed him so much after mins of being apart. I just could not imagine life without him. Once i reached home, i called him on his bed phone. He was watching tv. We talked for a while and said gdnight to each other. I promised him that i'll be visiting him in the morning. Then, i went to take a hot bath and went straight to bed right after seein my son and gave my baby few kisses whom is fast asleep.
I woke up at 6am to do the morning prayers and got ready to go to the hospital. I just needed to drop in to update my blog and to tell you guys that my hubby will be fine. I really hoped that he could be discharged in a day or two. I have got to run now. Be back again when time permits. Please pray for the recovery of my hubby.
